Now Hiring! Postdoctoral Fellow in AI Ethics

CHaT is hiring a Postdoctoral Fellow in AI Ethics, starting August 2026. The Fellow will pursue research on AI explainability, ethics, or trustworthiness while contributing to public engagement programming across CHaT and two partner centers — the Cincinnati Ethics Center and the Center for Public Engagement with Science (PEWS).

The position is supported by the College of Arts and Sciences through the A&S Action Collaborative. It is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal. Candidates must hold a PhD in philosophy or a closely related field. Salary is $60,000 with full UC benefits.

The Fellow will report to CHaT Director André Curtis-Trudel and will join an active research community with opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and professional development.
